Hee-Jin Yi, CFA, CAIA Vice President

Hee-Jin Yi is a Vice President of ValStone Partners.  Ms. Yi is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and monitoring investments made by the firm and its related entities.  Prior to joining ValStone Partners in 2002, Ms. Yi spent over seven years as a commercial banker with the Bank of New York, most recently as Relationship Manager in Corporate Banking.

Ms. Yi received a BA in Business from Ewha Women's University in Seoul, South Korea, and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan where she concentrated in Finance.  Ms. Yi passed the CPA exam in the State of California, is a Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA") charter holder, and earned her Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst ("CAIA") designation.  Ms. Yi is a board member of the Detroit Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Detroit Chapter of Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Michigan Network of International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), and Ross School of Business Alumni Club of Southeast Michigan.  Ms. Yi is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the CFA Society of Detroit/CFA Institute.
